We are seeking a Director of Operations who can demonstrate the values of our company and one O’hana: kindness, teamwork and a family attitude. Under the direction and guidance of the VP of Operations. He/She is fully responsible for the safety and the proper conduct of all flight operations. He/she must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.69 (d) and 14 CFR 119.71(b).

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operational control of the company
• Formulates plans and policies, establishes operational, personnel, and equipment standards.
• Originates changes to the company’s operations manuals.
• Supervises distribution and posting of all information or memoranda relative to any changes affecting company policy
• Insures prompt reporting, filing and follow-up action on accident reports to the appropriate Federal agencies.
• Prepares and manages reports pertaining to operations activities.
• Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all aircraft owned and/or operated by Mokulele.
• Acts as liaison between the FAA and the Company in all matters pertaining to operations under their jurisdiction and control.
• Oversees the Chief Pilot and Director of Safety and their duties.
• Supervises the Dispatch Manager and ensures proper scheduling of aircraft and pilots.
• Responsible for the management of all flight operations, including the operational control of Scheduled, Charter and Tour flights.
• Evaluates the overall training of flight operations staff members.
• Oversees and is the final authority for all flight operations staff hiring and discharge.
• Duties may be delegated to other personnel, but always retains responsibility.
• Must be expert on all operations manuals, operations specifications and Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to the company operations. • Insures proper tracking and reporting of all Pilot flight times, payroll and PTO.
• Works with Chief Pilot to verify proper crew scheduling
• Responsible for management and audit of CASS system

Qualifications and Requirements:

• He/she must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.69 (d) and 14 CFR 119.71(b)
• Must possess ATP or Commercial Instrument Certificate
• Minimum three years’ management experience in 121 or 135 Carrier operations
• Must have Caravan C208B experience
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Must take instruction and guidance well
• Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and as an individual
• Must hold a valid US driver’s license
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Please note this is a safety sensitive position which requires CHRC clearance and DATP enrollment in accordance with the FAA Code of Federal Regulations.
